In our day to day, we face different situations that generate moments of stress. The problem is that in the world we live in, those moments are extended, generating a constant stress reaction that we are not aware of until the symptoms begin to manifest.
Between 60 and 90% of the patients who come to the consultation are cases that are generated by poor stress management. Therefore, every day we must get used to including in our daily routine a series of exercises to free ourselves from stress and prevent it from accumulating.
Techniques to eliminate stress
Breathing exercises help to produce a rise in serotonin in the blood that helps eliminate stress. Every day, at least twice a day, it is advisable that we stop our activity for a moment and take ten deep breaths.
So that stress does not take over our lives, it is very important to have cognitive control of emotions. We must learn to disconnect from all those things that bother us or cause us discomfort , since constantly thinking about what worries us causes us to be constantly surrounded by pessimism and negative thoughts .
Plan our time, both work and moments dedicated to ourselves. We must maintain order and priorities, knowing how to differentiate between work moments and leisure moments, in which we have to disconnect from worries. Also, chaotic situations and disorder increase our stress levels.
Last but not least, the fact of looking for activities that bring us positive emotions helps to release endorphins and make us feel good. By doing activities that we enjoy and that we like, we generate emotions that are incompatible with stress.
