Tea as a natural remedy against stress

The stress to which we are subjected daily means that, on many occasions, we have to resort to certain aids to combat or alleviate possible symptoms that it generates in us.

Currently, we have a multitude of natural remedies whose therapeutic properties against stress are proven. Through phototherapy, the use of medicinal plants is studied to combat multiple diseases, including stress, anxiety and depression.

Infusions of valerian, lime blossom, lemon balm or orange blossom have great relaxing and stabilizing properties that can be very useful when it comes to winning the battle against stress.

Green tea, a powerful de-stressor

Green tea, known for its antioxidant properties, is also a relaxation promoter and stress inhibitor, since it reduces the formation and activity of free radicals that generate it.

Thanks to one of its main components, L-thiamine, the chances of suffering some of the serious consequences of stress such as high blood pressure or vascular problems are reduced.

Its beneficial properties do not only stop there, but also, research confirms that this same component increases the production of a brain neurotransmitter called GABA. In this way, insomnia and nervousness are reduced while dopamine levels increase, making us feel better.

Despite the theine it contains, it is said that drinking tea, black or green, before going to sleep helps us fall asleep and relax from accumulated daily stress.

Because good health is the most important thing, we must face all the barriers that stress tries to put on us and what better way to do it than through natural remedies.
